kay_bommerThe GIRN aims to support the further development and practice of global investor relations requirements, in the line with the rapid deployment of the global´s capital markets and increasing demands within the effects of the financial crisis for greater disclosure and transparency.

The Global Investor Relations Network will serve as a unique global platform for the Investor Relations profession.

Kay Bommer is General Manager of DIRK, the German Investor Relations Association, since 2001. In this capacity he is responsible for the operating business of DIRK and heads the DIRK office in Hamburg. He worked sucessfully in the areas of project management, consulting and auditing, followed by working for 2 years as head of Investor Relations for a software company listed on Germany’s Neuer Markt. He is also the founder and partner of the law firm Bommer, which is based in his home town Hamburg, specialised in economic and company law.

Kay has endorsed the four person Steering Committee that focus on issues relating to the further development of GIRN:

Mission

The Global Investor Relations Network´s mission is to raise credibility of Investor Relations and to achieve best practices in global IR profession.

GIRN´s vision as a chair society is to build a global networking platform for national IR societies to discuss rising challenges in the globalized IR profession and regard best practices.
